Des Collinson


Des is a partner of Collinson Gray Schultz

Des completed his accounting qualifications in 1974 after working for accounting firms in South Australia and Victoria.  He commenced practice in Adelaide in 1974 after being admitted as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.  In 1978 he received an advancement to Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has been in public practice since that time.

Des is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants, Australian Financial Services Licence Holder.

Des is married to Susan, has three married children and seven grandchildren.  Des is trying to exercise as much as possible to keep him in good health.  He also enjoys following the Adelaide Crows and watching cricket.

Des and Susan are actively involved at Holy Trinity Church Adelaide.

Mark Gray


Mark is a partner of Collinson Gray Schultz.

Mark has a Bachelor of Accountancy from The University of SA.  Mark has worked overseas with Price Waterhouse and has since worked for a number of local Chartered Accounting firms since joining the profession in 1985.  Mark completed the practical and academic requirements necessary to become a Chartered Accountant and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2000.

Mark has also worked in commerce for a large group of Hotels for 4 years in the early 1990's.  Mark is also an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants, Australian Financial Services Licence Holder.

Mark is married to Sharon and has two children who help to keep him busy away from the office.  Mark also enjoys spending time with friends, playing tennis and basketball (average 20 points per game.. Joke!) and watching sport.

Mark is also actively involved in leadership in the Salvation Army church in the city of Adelaide.

 

David Schultz


David is a partner of the firm.

He has been in public practice as an accountant since 1976.  He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Certified Practising Accountant with CPA Australia and a fellow member of the Taxation Institute of Australia.

David has advised clients over a wide range of industries and professions including those within the construction, manufacturing, retail, wine and viticulture industries.  He was a founding director of a public company which was subject to a recent takeover.  He has had experience with businesses operating overseas and with their entitlements to government assistance with Export Market Development Grants and insurance through EFIC.

Also, David is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants, Australian Financial Services Licence Holder.

He is married to Ceri and they have two children who are married and have provided four grand children.  Despite being a handicap to his own game, he enjoys a round of golf with those who possess patience and enjoys watching most forms of sport.  He and his family have been actively involved with their church at Holy Trinity Church in Adelaide.

Nigel Martin


Nigel joined CGS Financial Services in July 2002 with previously gained experience in the financial services industry.

Nigel began his financial services career working for Westpac Financial Services in Sydney gaining knowledge of insurance and financial markets.  Returning to Adelaide he moved to TOWER Trust where he spent two years looking after self-managed superannuation funds before moving into the role of a Client Service Adviser then advancing to become a Para Planner / Analyst.

Nigel has completed his Bachelor of Commerce at Flinders University and a Certificate in Superannuation Management.  Nigel is currently studying the Diploma of Financial Planning and is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants, Australian Financial Services Licence Holder.

Nigel enjoys watching sport, going to the movies and considers himself a bit of a fisherman!  He is a life member of the Salvation Army where he remains heavily involved.

Megan Murphy


Megan is a qualifed Chartered Accountant who joined Collinson Gray Schultz in March 2001.

Megan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Adelaide, and has also completed the Graduate Diploma (ICAA), obtaining honours awards in 3 of the 5 subjects of the qualification.

Megan has been involved in various aspects of the firm, including practice management, staff training, and working with a large group of business clients in a tax and advisory role. Megan now works with Mark Gray, and is principally involved in working with the Evolution hotel group, whilst also still performing a tax and accountancy role for a small group of small/medium enterprises.

Megan is an avid basketball follower and also somewhat of a movie buff. She is an active member of the Para Hills-Modbury Catholic Parish.
